In Psycho Cybernetics 2000, Maltz talked about the principles of the subconscious and conscious. Let’s look at both of these to find out what they are and how we can use a different way of thinking on a positive note.
“The agreement principle: The subconscious mind always says “yes” to everything the conscious mind tells it.
The compliance principle: The subconscious mind always moved in the direction in which the conscious mind points it.” ~Maltz
I’ve always wondered about this. If you tell your subconscious mind a negative retort then your subconscious mind isn’t going to agree with it because you have already made up your mind! Ever wonder why when you state negativity that negativity stays around? f9b7eaafaa266b56ca3efa59e8554391090b35d488db98e0f6 This is the reason why! This is where the C.R.A.F.T system would be of benefit to you so you can start canceling those negative thoughts and start replacing them with positive thoughts.
In order to do that we must also understand the two principles of the conscious mind.
“The selection principle: The conscious mind looks at options sand makes purposeful choices among them.
The elimination principle: Once the conscious mind had made its selection, all other possible options are eliminated for that given moment.” ~Maltz
For example, I am a thrifty spender and I love to catch a great deal when I go grocery shopping. So, I prepare myself by looking at all the flyers from all the stores. My conscious mind is looking at the options before me. Once I have determined the stores that I am going to shop at, all the other stores are eliminated from my visits. The reason being is because I already chose the stores that would guarantee me the most savings, therefore, the other options are useless to me. This is how the mind works.
Remember when all else fails use the C.R.A.F.T. method. If you need to go over what the C.R.A.F.T. method means, click here! Start affirming your thought process. No more negative thoughts for any reason whatsoever!
